Spain's Buy To Let Boom

Figures from the Foreign Office show that between April 2005 and March 2006, Spain was the most popular destination for British holidaymakers, with almost 14 million people travelling there.

France came second (11 million) followed by Ireland (4.2 million), America (four million), Italy (3.4 million).

The figures come as further proof that the Spanish property bubble has not burst, and will boost investment in Spain's buy-toilet property market as investors look to cash in on this popularity.

Spain's popularity is based on proximity to the UK, ease of access, cheap air fares, the weather and the advanced tourist infrastructure.
